Roshi Amy Hollowell

Roshi Amy – Tu Es Cela – Hollowell is a French-American Zen teacher and writer. Founder and spiritual director of the Wild Flower Zen Sangha, a community of lay practitioners in France and Portugal, she is a dharma successor of Roshi Catherine Genno Pagès in the White Plum lineage. Also a student of the late Bernie Glassman, she was among the founding spirit-holders of the Zen Peacemaker Order. Her training has included work in Nonviolent Communication, Council practice, psychoanalysis and group dynamics.    

She is also a poet, literary translator and journalist and was for more than 30 years a senior editor at the International Herald Tribune and The New York Times in Paris. She leads Zen writing workshops throughout Europe and her most recent poetry collections include Into the Turning: Emptyfull Poetry (2019) and Here We Are (2015). Her poetry and other writing has appeared in a number of publications in Europe and the United States.
